FRIENDS OF LINCOLN TRAIL HOMESTEAD STATE PARK AND MEMORIAL

The Friends of Lincoln Trail Homestead State Park and Memorial is a subcommittee of the Macon County Community Environmental Council.  We are individuals and groups who want to bring life and continuity to the Abraham Lincoln story in Illinois by elevating the importance of the Lincoln Trail Homestead State Park and Memorial through recognition, restoration, and preservation of the site, making the state park a destination where fun and learning go hand in hand with recreation and the cultural and natural history of the region.

Vision:

To protect and enhance the first  home-place of Abraham Lincoln in Illinois, including the natural ecosystems of the are, for present and future generations.

Mission:

To elevate the importance of the Lincoln Trail Homestead State Park and Memorial through recognition, restoration and preservation, recreation, education and interpretation of the cultural and natural history of the site.
